Hi all, anyone done this.
Gone from takeing Entocort ( budesonide) to Predislone? ( I also have
Crohns diease (inflammatory Bowel Diasese)
I ask as from my readings and what doctors have told me Budesonide is
a drug that is realised into the intestines,
"Budesonide capsules contain granules that allow a slow release of the
drug into the ileum and the colon"
Unlike Predislone.
Which would make sense as to why takeing a higher dose of Budesonide
makes no difference to the inflamation and pain coming from my
infallmed left hip (condition called Synovtis aslo known as reactive
arthrtis) They have tried Steriod injections into left hip, which used
to last 14 or so months but over past 15 mths they only last a few
days and even after two arthoscopes, problem remains.
They have even tried blocking the nerves using a prodedure called
Radio Frequency Nerootomy.
I would be interested if anyone has changed the drugs.
Can one just stop takeing Budsondie and take Predislone instead?
Thanks in advance
Phil

Only a doctor (possibly a pharmacist) who knows a patients
background (medical history) could safely answer that.
Take a break from the keyboard -- 128 posts in October and
169 to the 10th of this month all in 68 groups. Get out to your
doctor. Ask someone who is medically trained. None of the
members of this group are and cannot give you that kind of
advice.

and those that are know that the answers have to include everything that is
personal to you...... Don't you see,,,, there is really no easy way out,,,
cheap way out and to let it go on and on only makes things worse. We have
plenty of people here with medical training. Nurses and doctors that may
be posting under another name because of what happens sometimes to people
like MaryZ.

Yes mate your correct.
A lot of posting programs set that email as an default unless you
actully want to show your email address in a newsgroup post, which is
not a good idea as then the spam bots will get hold of it.
Thanks for picking it up and letting Cheif know!
