Hi all,
I am a graduate student researching dietary effects on rheumatoid
arthritis.
I would greatly appreciate it if you could email me and let me know if
you are vegetarian, or have become vegetarian since your disease onset.

How about people respond in the newsgroup so we know you
aren't simply an address harvester. We're more inclinded to
e-mail to .edu addresses, not gmail or hotmail or aol. If you're
truly a studen, somewhere - you haven't stated where - you
should have an .edu address.
