MTX injection question

Hi all.

Rheumy is out of town this week.
Started MTX injections last Friday.
I've been on mtx on and off for several years with virtually no side
effects and all good bloodwork.

I'm just wondering if anyone knows how flexible I should be as far as
the day of the week that I inject.
I've got a very long day upcoming tomorrow and may not be able to do my
injection at all, unless I do it first thing in the morning, which I'd
rather not do.

Can I just do it tonight, Thursday?

Thanks, in advance.

John

Simce I'm not a doctor, I can't tell you what to do, however I can tell
you that if it were me, I would do it tomorrow night, after my day was
done.  Not because of the spacing but because I always was quite run
down the day after I had my mtx dose.  I would take it (or inject it)
on Saturday night because the only thing I had on my agenda for Sunday
was church and rest.  If that had not been a factor, I would have taken
it an evening early if it was the best way to get it done.

Hope this helps

Your doctor is going to tell you that it needs to be done on the same day
every week and changing a day or two,,, once,,,, is not going to make much
difference but stay with the new time and date.    I took Methx for 7-8
years and may take it again in the future.
My Enbrel is not doing the job well anymore.

Shouldn't be a problem. As long as you're not jumping around arbitrarily. If
you need to take it tonight and then next Friday, that would not be a
problem.

DeeTee (who tries not to schedule anything on Thursday mornings which is
when the shot occurs here)
