Still waiting for the doctor's office to call with the results of the Meckel
Scan. I was able to watch the monitor while it was going on, but I didn't
see anything - not that I would know what I was looking at anyway.
This morning was for cancellations. I cancelled my trip to the Seven Springs
Mountain Resort (a Mary Kay function) because I just cannot drive 4 hours,
walk the hotel several times a day (it's about 2 football fields in length)
and then drive back 4 hours. I just can't. And then, even harder for me to
do, I canceled next month's cruise. Right now I don't have the strength to
do 3 hours at church...there's no way I can travel for five days plus all
the other stuff that goes with a Caribbean cruise. Heavy, heavy sigh. Maybe
next year.
So - it's back to waiting mode while I sit here and wonder what's next. I'm
so tired of being tired. I'm tired from the inside out. They just have to
find the spigot and turn it off.

DeeTee, will pray that it is turned off very soon. So sorry you have to put
off the cruise.

I hear you DeeTee. But just think how great it is going to feel when they
sort it out - that is what keeps me going.
When it is sorted out I am going to quilt for hours, visit with friends,
make love to my husband (without worrying about falling asleep), cook a real
meal, go for a real holiday without pumping myself full of extra prednisone
(which I know my rd doesn't approve of at this time) and without pasting on
a fake smile.
So I wait to hear what they say for you. Better things are coming (I have
to believe that - there has to be a purpose to this garbage) but I do know
how hard it is to wait and wait and wait.

Oh Dee Tee, I sure hope you hear something really soon and that they can fix
it so you can get on with your life. This is not right that they are taking
so long in finding out what is causing this.
I am sorry you had to cancel trip and cruise. i feel for you.
Know you are in my heart and prayers. I am hoping for the best outcome for
you and that you will get energy back and can start doing things again.

((((((((((((((((DeeTee))))))))))))))))) I'm going on the belief that they
WILL have the problem, they WILL get you all fixed up and you WILL be able to
do all these things in the future when you are well enough to fully enjoy
them!
geez, it must be especially difficult to have to cancel two things you really
want to do at the same time - twice as bad as one thing.

((((((((((((((((((deetee))))))))))))))) all what nann said. it is always so
sobering, disappointing and even depressing to have to forego what we look
forward to, because of the present being so "in your face". i'm sorry you
have to experience that.

I know exactly how you feel. I moved up to Bellingham in June which is
about 2 hours north of Seattle. When I want to go to Seattle now I have
to book a motel room and stay overnight. I just can't do the trip down,
the event, and the trip back in one day. I've just about accepted the
fact that I will never go on vacation again. Maybe a weekend to one of
the San Juans, but that's going to be it. I can't fly, even the thought
of getting through an airport exhausts me.
So pull up a chair and have a cuppa tea with me :)

I'm OK. I ended up with sciatica after moving. And although most of that
has calmed down, my knee still hurts. So I'm going to have to go to the
doctor again and see what's going on. Other than than, I'm fine. I see
the cardiologist next month, but I feel OK. I do get tired a lot faster
than I used to, and I can't do a lot of things I used to be able to do.
I'm still hanging on to my ice skates and bowling ball...why I don't
know. I'm just ready to let go of those things and I keep telling myself
that maybe one day I'll feel better...isn't denial great? :-)))
But I'm still here and although I don't always post, I do read the posts
and I pray for everyone who asks for prayers. Sometimes I'm just too
tired to type. :)
Hugs,
Carole :)

of course - I still have several pairs of pumps - the better quality ones.
I've worn them ONCE in the last 5 years, but I'm still hopeful! LOL I have
promised myself that I am NOT moving them again unless I am actually wearing
them. It's time for someone else to benefit from them.

That's a shame, but boy do I understand!
