I remember you, Shirlawn.  Good to hear from you, but so sorry about all the
problems you have had.  I hope your new RD will be much better and you will
get along much better now.

reasonable PCP and he got you into another RD.  It really stinks to have an
RD who doesn't believe about your symptoms!

old rd sure wasn't paying attention, to put it mildly.

congrats on the new wheels!  it must have been really hard not to be able to
get around.  i'm sorry this past year was so difficult for you.  it sounds
like it was the pits.  hopefully, things are vastly improving for you now.

It showed up-so here goes.  I haven't posted for 2-3 years as aol dumped
us.  I found a place to lurk but not post.

The past year has been very bad for me.  It started sometime in Jan.  I
was cutting off a tree limb, a small one, using a long aluminum pool saw
and I must have injured my right knee, and it is my best knee.  I have had
RA since 1981, and i have done faily well most or that time on MTX 7 1/2
mg.by inj.  My rd discontinued it the prior year as I couldn't get over
diarrhea.  I got worse and worse, and I do not understand if the doctor
didn't believe me or she didn't get the messages or she was worried about
the side effects.  She refused to give me something for pain.  I was
taking darcocet and she wouldn't renew it or order anything to take its
place.  I couldn't get out of bed, couldn't put any weight on my knees to
just pivot and sit on the comode.

I got a presp. for hydrocordone from my other doc, and he sent me to a new
RD. The new one put me bck on MTX, and prednisone.  so I am now tapering
off the pred, upping the MTX as needed, and filling in with the
hydrocordone.  that was a few months ago.  My family doc also ordered me a
power chair through medicare.

I got it a week ago.  So far I haven't smashed my body between furniture
and the chair or taken off any door frames, just the paint.  Next week
they are building a ramp so I can go outside. I have to pay for that, but
I am so grateful for the chair.  Now I can get out of this house.

Mosr of you won't remember me, but I have read your posts right along.
