Kelly, thank you for asking. i was just thinking i should post an
update. things are better--as better as they can be for a couple in
which one partner can barely move any part of her body and and the
other partner has terminal cancer anyhow! my sister learned her special
van is totaled. she's making arrangements to be evaluated to drive with
her hands and i hope she passes. if so, she'll order a new van
customized for her. after a week or so of missing rehearsals of the
play she's directing, a friend managed to take my sister's extra
scooter to the theater, so now with the help of 2 or three people, she
gets into the friends car and is driven to the theater, where someone
brings the scooter out to her. she was able to take over directing the
play and was very happy on opening night. she's my hero. an amazing
person. her husband is doing some deep soul searching and is, as of the
last time i spoke with either of them, taking this one day at a time.
so the news is mostly good. they're making the best of a bad situation.
i SO appreciate all the prayers and good thoughts. they comforted me
while i worried.
the thing i need to push her on is preparing for the next emergency. at
some point, these two will need more help than they're getting and i
wish they had their ducks in a row.

diane,
I am glad to hear the update on your sister and her hubby.
Can you email me their first names so when I am praying I can tell the Lord
their names. I still have been praying but I have been doing it by saying
dianes sister and hubby.
I am glad things are better for them. Well as better as it is going to get.
I hope someone can help her get set back up with a van that she can operate
with her hands. I know my cousin has one because of his MS.
That was so cool of her friend to help out with that and that way she could
get to her play shes directing. I am sure that helped her mood lift greatly.
I am still praying too for you to be able to deal with this when you are not
there to see what is going on.
I will still be praying for them to get help that they need so that they
will be better able to handle things as they come along. I hope someone does
make it so that there are things available to help her keep going.
