Well it official - my knee is ugly. lol
We have opted for the moment to inject the knee and see if I can manage
for a bit. If that fails, I am heading for a knee replacement. I don't
plan on living in pain and not being able to dance so we will see.
I am to call him when and if this doesn't work or when it begins to hurt
again. I am to go on to my PT appointments I scheduled already and get
things as strong as possible.
Good to know that I am not crazy. lol That MRI looked nasty. The spot
that hurts is a black spot sitting on top of an eroded bone on bone
section. Good thing I have a high pain threshold. Not like having a baby
but you get the drift.
Cross your fingers that injection helps.

well, it seems as though there were no surprises to you. but still, i hoped
for better news for you. you're pain tolerance level must be incredible. i
think it would dwive me quackers. ô¿ô my fingers, eyes, ankles, arms (and
i'll even braid my hair) will be crossed for you, hoping the injections
really help you a lot.
if and when you need the knee replacement, duckie, will you be going the
traditional procedure (where the incision goes directly across the middle of
the knee) or the minimally invasive procedure (where the incision goes more
to one side of the center of the knee)? both are total knee replacement
procedures. recovery times and the amount of soft tissue damage are the
only differences, as far as i could tell.

Going the traditional method unless this doctor tries
to talk me out of it. I doubt that as I saw many
different kinds sitting on the table and they all
required the center cut.
I actually did much better than my roommates friend at
rehab. She had hers done in August and our surgery was
November. I was walking 24 hours after surgery better
than she was after several months. I had the
traditional and she the minimally invasive. And it
wasn't like she had not worked at it. Something was
catching and she just could not get the bend they wanted.
My previous doctor told me two things: one that I
expect my knee to do more than others and two, he never
recommended a procedure until it had at least a 10 year
set of history behind it. It wanted to know how well it
holds up over time; any problems which develop and the
like. He says the one I got had been around for over 20
years with a great track record. And I love it.
Now if I can talk John into the house we are going to
look at today. All on one floor including the laundry.
I sure would like to be settled before this happens.

Duckie,
Wishing you the best outcome with that knee. Hoping you will soon be up and
about with the dancing. I know how important that is to you.
I hope you do get the house you want and that it all be on one floor that
would be nice.
You take care.

Thanks Squirrely. My knee seems to be hurting more
since the shot but PT yesterday said that was not a bad
sign. sigh
Well that house we took our agent to was NOT the one.
We will find something. The rates are lower right now
and the market has stalled a bit so things are in our
favor.

Still wishing you well with the knee and the house hunting. I sure hope you
get a one floor house. It is so much easier, believe me.
Give Joe and Mary a hug for me.

Duckie, my hip always hurt worse for a couple of days after a shot in it.
Then it quit hurting. Hope your knee has also. Good luck on the house
hunting; may you find the perfect one very, very soon.

I hope the injection works Duckie. I would hate to see you quack up. Sorry
bad choose.
I sure hope you get some help soon and that you will be back dancing so much
again that we will have to call you twinkle toes. ;-)

Arthritis Pain comes from many different sources. This may include
inflammation of the synovial membrane (which is tissue that lines the
joints), the tendons or the ligaments: muscle strain: and fatigue. A
combination of these factors will inevitably contribute to the
intensity of pain.
http://www.medical-health-care-information.com/encyclopedia/A/Arthritis.asp
Arthritis Pain varies considerably from person to person, for reasons
that can not be explained. The usual signs for pain include swelling
within the joint, the amount of redness or heat coming from the joint
and general stiffness which could come form continuous use and major
activities or literally just climbing out of bed.
How people cope with the pain really depends on their psychological
state, attitude and physical factors. But if you are not overcome from
this then I suggest you some drugs that will helpful for you Colchicine
and Zyloprim these drugs you can buy from any drugs store or online
selling site but before taking you need to much aware about your
problem so I suggest you one site that give you complete information
about the arthritis and I hope you can very soon overcome from the
arthritis. All the best take care your self.

Check my track record of posting -- I have been there
and done all of that and now on major drugs to hold
things in check and still loosing the battle. I don't
recognize your name but my first instinct was to tell
you off. This is a gentle buzz off. Don't mean to tick
you off but you obviously don't know me.

((((((duckie))))) he doesn't know how knowledgable you really are, duckie,
like the rest of your asa family does.
and too, for his information, colchicine is prescribed for gout or gouty
arthritis, not for skeletal necrosis and bone on bone pain.

Thanks Kate. I was not sure if I had collected a
spammer or a new name I did not recognize. So I
appologize. Just that I have been there and tried that.
