Is it possible to sell my Enbrel? Is it illegal to sell online?
I do not need mine anymore and I was just curious. Thanks

I believe that it is illegal to resell any prescrition medication.

Aside from the legal issue, I don't know of anyone who would trust someone
else's medication, unless it was from a close friend or family member and they
were POSITIVE that it had been properly kept and handled.

What does the law in Canada say?

Prescriptions in the U.S. have a warning on the label:

CAUTION:  Federal law prohibits transfer of this drug to
any person other than the patient for whom prescribed.

How would anyone know you kept it refrigerated?

Do you have the original labels with expiration dates?

How would you transfer it and keep it cool?

You would have to sell it for US$9.00 or less, S&H
included, or it wouldn't be a bargain because that's
what I pay for a month's supply of 4 pre-filled syringes.

... acting bizaree before I use my ray gun on you.

nope.  selling your meds is illegal.    giving them away, to someone who
needs and uses it, is something i'd really hesitate doing, with anything
like enbrel because of its stability issues.

When I switched Meds I gave my extra doses of Enbrel to my doctor.  I
presume he gave them to someone who needed them.

that's interesting, thump.  what state are you in?  in the state of
washington, where i live, a doctor could lose their medical license if they
did that.

Massachusetts.

He could lose his license for giving away meds?

I don't know that he did that.  Maybe he just disposed of them as
waste.

not for giving away meds or samples, that came directly from the
pharmaceutical companies.  but for receiving meds prescribed and filled by
pharmacies for specific patients and giving those away to other patients.  i
suspected that a contamination factor was the basis for that law and asked
her about it.  but apparently it doesn't matter if the prescription was
never opened, just that it was intended for somebody else.  weird, huh?

There's a lot of weird laws.  For example, while going on a short day
trip I like to put my meds in one bottle to carry them easier.  I
think their are rules against that also.
