We just got home from the hospital where I had the endoscopy. No answers
yet. I'm clean from mouth to start of small intestines and from end of small
intestines to anus. The next step is to examine the small
intestines...something very difficult to do. They'll first do a barium
contrast to make sure there are no obstructions or narrowing of the channels
in the small intestine. Then I will swallow a radioactive pill and will wear
a monitor for 24 hours. After that I have no idea what comes next. I am
hoping they'll let me go back on my arthritis medicines so I can walk and
not hobble. (When I got home the first thing I did was take a 5 mg
Prednisone.) We'll see. Sigh.

((((((((((((((dee tee))))))))))))) goodness, this sounds like the
"incredible journey"! when are they going to be doing these other
procedures, hon?
that radioactive pill almost sounds like what they do up here at the u of w.
they have a procedure where the patient swallows what looks like a pill, but
it is a tiny camera that sends live pix back to a monitor. wonder if they
are doing that in other states.
i sooo feel for you, having to be without your meds! that's soooo not fun.

can get back on your meds soon.

Oh DeeTee. I was hoping they had found something. In the meantime, do
you think they will give you a transfusion to help out the 'Geritol'
[made that up] you have been taking that hasn't helped?
Hang in there

Then they send you to the radio-active waste dump. LOL!
Seriously, wishing you the very best the very fastest.

Definitely no flights, or you'll be setting off every detector
at security check-in. <g>
