Ok it was a experience for sure..lol
MAKE SURE YOU LET THIS STUFF SIT OUT FOR 30 MINUTES BEFORE DOING THE
INJECTION!
I still let this stuff sit out for the 30 minutes it says to warm to room
temp, but it still stung like crazy.
I did find it VERY easy to inject..hardly any effort at all. I feel this
product was created for easy use for RA patients who have weakness or severe
pain in their hands and have trouble injecting.
My anxiety over injecting myself with the prefilled syringe was eliminated
with the use of the sure click pen.. I was always worried about screwing it
up. This was almost error proof and super easy to do. Besides the fast push
of the medication and the stinging I would definitely recommend switching to
the sure click pen that Enbrel makes.
I hope this tells everyone how it went for me
ginnypig tried it pioneered it for ya'll and there it is..:)

Was this a subQ or IM injection? How many millilitres? I have to do two
IM injections per week (or, more precisely, my wife has to do them for
me because I can no longer do them into my legs after nerve damage). The
first one is 1ml and the second one is 2ml. Anything to make these
easier would be great and if yours is an IM of similar volume (although
yours is probably watery, mine are oily) I'll be writing to the
manufacturers of mine to try and push them into making their products
easier to inject.

Regards,

Ari

I'm going to die rather sooner than I'd like. I tried to protect my
neighbours from crime, and became the victim of it. Complications in
hospital following this resulted in a serious illness. I now need a bone
marrow transplant. Many people around the world are waiting for a marrow
transplant, too. Please volunteer to be a marrow donor:

Hi Ari.. I am terrible at converting to metric..but I can say that it is
50mg doses that is SQ in my leg once a week.. your wife could inject you in
your arm with this version of Enbrel if it is the same one. I do think my
enbrel is watery.
I am thankful that you and your dear wife escaped a frightening situation. I
live in a fairly safe town, but I still lock all my doors and windows and
watch myself when I leave the house and go shopping. You never know who is
watching you.
Take Care

That's what we do with the pre-filled

I have never had that problem in the 9+ months I've been on it.

Maybe Mary's medical training makes her a better "shooter"
that the rest of us.   <g>  With the very limited ROM of my
neck and head, the only way I could do it was in front of
a mirror.  I had to do that two weeks while she was on
vacation in Ohio this past Spring.

Nah, I like it when Mary "nurses" me.

Thanks for experimenting for us and relaying the results.

heehee - smart man!

I wondered if the stinging wouldn't be really great with it.  I often
have to slow down my injection and pause occasionally due to stinging.
I don't like the idea of not being able to control the rate of the
injection.  As long as my hands can handle it, I want to push the
plunger myself!
