Oops. Today's not my day for multitasking evidently. As if I don't have
enough spam already, my forwards got crossed with my question. (Thanks
Chief, my golfing friends are going to love that one.)

I was wondering if anyone has had any trouble with Mobic.  I was on Lodine,
but it's not on my provider's list so I have to change.  Figures--works, no
side effects.  I seem to be retaining water a bit on Mobic and was hoping
that it's not going to get any worse.  Can't take Relafen anymore for the
same reason.

Oh yeah, Mobic was a curse for me.  I was traveling at the time I tried
it and first thought the swellling ankles were due to climate and
dietary changes.  But by a week later they were so swollen I could
barely walk so I went ahead and quit taking the Mobic even before I
could get home and call my RD.   The swelling obviously and steadily
went down and was normal again in a few days.  I definitely retained
water on it.

It's possible your doc can appeal to your insurance to allow you an
NSAID that isn't on their list if you have failed a number of others,
so keep that in mind.

Thanks Kate and Nann for your responses.  That's what I was afraid of.  Will
have to duke it out with Medco, again.
