hello people,

i have been suffering from arthritis for around  2 years, this has
affected my social and recreational lifestyle. it has been quite severe
recently. I bumped into a friend of mine who also suffers from this
unkind disability, she had just purchased a memory foam mattress, which
bascially moulds to the shape of your body. which in turn results in
less pressure on the joints apparently. Anyway I looked into this new
mattress and found much favourable reviews. I have just brought one
myself and can say it is absoloutely fabulous. I made my purchase from
the company below called http://www.sleepdetox.co.uk. Check it out. it
has change my life!

Hello, spammer.

> i have been suffering from arthritis for around  2 years,

Gonna ask you the same questions we do of everyone
who drops in at ASA.

Age?

Gender?

What kind of arthritis?

Ahhh, I can guess.  Arthritis of the brain that causes
you to lose common sense and decency.

Spamming She is...But bringing up the idea of Memory Foam ....Well it is
good, but you can get a topper from Wal Mart and many people from my group
swears by them....Even roll them up and take them with them on vacation....
I don't know how much these cost in American Dollars, but you can get a
Queen size topper at Wal Mart for about $80.00 and like I said...My friends
swear by them...If you google them, you can find all kinds of places to buy
different dist and brands...And they come in all densitys and
thickness...and prices...
So...I say...Thanks for reminding us about this Sir Spam alot....

A couple of years ago, when I was just starting to contend nightly
with my damnable innerspring mattress aggravating all my
pressure points, I finally "got" that line about "1/3rd of our life
is spent sleeping".

Well, between regular sleep, and the extra amount of time I spend
in bed because of a migraine, a back spasm, a whatever, I went down
to the TempurPedic store, layed on that memory foam mattress for
20 minutes, and they practically had to peel me off of it.

I bought the works - a Queen size mattress, and an adjustable base
that has about a bazillion ways to tilt the head and/or feet, with a
head and leg massager built-in....  and lemme tell you, that bed is
absolutely Hog Heaven.  Best money I ever spent.

I actually wake up in the exact position I fell asleep in, unless I
already had a bad ouwie somewhere before I went to bed.  Then
I move around until I get the weight off the ouwie.  In every sense
of the word, I feel like my bed is my sanctuary, and you'll have a
reeeeeaaaaaaaal hard time getting me to sleep on anything else.

And what someone else was saying about taking a memory foam
topper with them while traveling?  I'm buying a twin size topper
for when I have those long hospital stays for my THR and my
TKR.  I've spent way too much time in hospital beds to put up
with them any longer.

Yeah, I know I sound like a shill for the company, but I'm not.
It's just a truly good product, especially for Fibro/Arthritis
people like me.

Good zzzzzzzzzz's, everyone!

i love mine, too, ginnie.  my only complaint about my bed is how heavy the
mattress is for me to change the bedding.  so, my son comes over and does
that for me.

Kate, you have a thoughtful son.  Guess you trained him right early on.

I can't imagine anyone mentioning a well-known business
such as Sears, Target, that mattress place you named,
etc. etc. etc. being accused of being a shill.

It's the scum of the earth, impersonating the wild west
medicine men riding town-to-town (as in newsgroup to
newsgroup) hawking their magic potions containing a
"secret" ingredient from some rain forest, who send up
red-flag warnings.

... I'm so close to hell, I can see the lights of Las Vegas.

Aw, Chief. Don't be so hard on the person. I bought one of those 4"
toppers and it... well frankly, didn't do much to help me. My son bought
a very expensive foam mattress and at last report he said it 'still
feels lumpy'. But to each his own. LOL!

Nearly two yeas ago we had to find a mattress that would not cause my wife
pain.  We were sleeping on a futon at the time.  We paid allot of money for
the one we have now, and I am very comfy, indeed.  She and I tried most of
the mattresses in the Hom furniture store, including the memory foam, inner
spring, air, low density foam and various  combinations.  The one we finally
decided on is a multi density foam core with memory foam on the top few
inches and a fluffy topper.  It's about a foot and a half high and the most
comfortable thing I have ever slept on.  It was worth every penny, because
Violet has been sleeping peacefully ever since.
