d'huit - 14 Sep 2006 06:35 GMT i received one of those e-mailed "money angels" that promise to make you rich. it said:
Pass it to 6 of your good friends,or family and be rich in 4 Days. Pass it to 12 of your good friends.or family and be rich in 2 Days.
i was tired of forwarding this kind of thing out to friends and family, so i did some math.
based upon the money angel's formula, if i only sent it to 3 people, i'd be rich in 8 days. if i sent it to 1 and 1/2 people, i'd be rich in 16 days. sent to 3/4ths of a person, i'd be rich in 32 days. sent to 3/8ths of a person, i'd be rich in 64 days. sent to 3/16ths of a person, i'd be rich in 128 days or 4-ish months. so, i figured-- if i just give it to my cat (who's a good friend and a family member--which meets either and/or both requirements), i'll probably be rich in 6 months and i won't have to email it to anybody else. i can live with that.ô¿ô
kate (thinking . . . 6 months from now it will be march. since i'm going to be rich in march, how 'bout if i take all of you guys to europe for lunch in april? anyone for april in paris?)
Ginnie - 14 Sep 2006 06:52 GMT "April in Paris"???

Ginnie >^..^< ..when she calms down, she'll rethink it as 'boat trip'.....
LOL! road trip? boat trip? i was thinking more in terms of getting the concord out of mothballs. heck, if i'm gonna be rich, i'm gonna be REEEEE-ICH!!! heck, shasti's sitting right here, on my printer, nodding her head in complete agreement. so, step aside, bill gates.
kate (thinking . . . maybe we can drag donna karan and bob mackie with us to do a little clothes shopping for us? i mean, afterall, who wants to have to pack luggage?!) ___________________________________

d'huit - 14 Sep 2006 13:35 GMT "itinerary" i really do know how to spell.
and i do know that it was supposed to have been, "in everything i used to do" or "in everything i did", and not, "in everything i used to did".
oh, well. those are only two examples of my many millions of errors and typos and mistakes. the brain fog keepeth creepething, "on and on . . ." like the song says.

LOL! ok. consider it posted. gee, bud, why should we run for office when we can afford to buy it? i mean running for office sounds painful, as many of us can't take the amount of hand-shaking involved with running for office. but all of us can sure party!

Kelly - 15 Sep 2006 00:43 GMT living water was another scam that was around for awhile. We never really figured out what it was or did (except cure everything of course and cost money) and luckily it disappeared. There is a big sign across from my doctor's office on the lawn of a house advertising it. Some people will do everything they can to make a buck.

oh, yeah and that's the truth. i think the latest and greatest is: $25 a bottle mangosteen juice (notice, i didn't use their particular brandname.). it tastes good, but did nothing dramatic, if anything, for my owies--- my summer company friend had 2 cases shipped to me for a "good trial period". so, i did drink it, like i promised her i would. it helped her and i know she wouldn't lie to me. but at $25 a bottle, i think i'd have gotten more benefit from a couple of cases of good wine or brandy.

wellllll, ok, if you insist. i'm not into those kinds of lists, but jewelry lists i can get into. so, i think i'd rather have someone from cartier's and tiffany's make some gorgeous deliveries.

oh, shoot! i only speak a few words/phrases/sentences of japanese, can only count to ten (that's definitely not a big enough number for tiffany's) and i understand only a little bit more than i speak. that means i wouldn't be able to converse with the tiffany's sales people. i sure wish they'd hire people who spoke english. oh, well, there's always cartier's.LOL
kate (but why go to nyc when tiffany's will come to you?!)

Carole - 16 Sep 2006 03:57 GMT > (but why go to nyc when tiffany's will come to you?!) This is true. I'm thinking if you are REALLY rich, they would send a sales person to your mansion :)

Carole - 14 Sep 2006 21:00 GMT I agree! There's that shop they showed on Oprah where you can get a custom made bra. They start at around $1000 :-)))) But you get a good fit, LOL!!!
And we have to do one of those dinner cruises on the Seine :)

oh, the dinner cruise is a must! but, i think i'll just have that shop owner come here and fit us all, before we go. then we can all be more comfortable on the concord flight over.

***i don't mind weekend cruises, but crossing the atlantic for that length of time, without my own bed, just wouldn't work for me. ok. i could have my bed aboard her. but then there is all this time spent wandering around a ship, without any real history to her. i think i'd rather rent a cabin on a beach somewhere. or does she have weekend cruises?

i think transversing the atlantic by ship takes more than a week, though. and i think you can have all of the rest, at a 5 star hotel, anywhere in the world.
