Hi all,

Does anyone have a link to the actual studies (or reputable summaries)
about heart risks with certain NSAIDs? I've been to hospital earlier
this week and I'm still having problems and the cause is unknown (though
the effect is showing up on ECGs). We're thinking post-viral
pericarditis, but there are so many other /potential/ factors in me that
I want to cover all the bases, particularly anything that might cause
electrical abnormalities without elevated cardiac enzymes.

Regards,

Ari

hospital following this resulted in a serious illness. I now need a bone

transplant, too. Please volunteer to be a marrow donor:

Actually, let's narrow this down: the only drug I'm interested in at the
moment is Celebrex. If I don't find anything interesting there, I'll
broaden my search.

I have no studies but thought I'd throw in that when I was on Celebrex and
Bextra my normally stable blood pressure was all over the place, inc. rather
high at times.  Since Bextra went off the market and I've been off COX2s my
BPs reliably been in the zone that makes doctors smile.

As for post-viral pericarditis, that sounds a lot like what happened to
Carole's heart.  She probably knows more about it than anyone wants to and
has good links for it by now.

what about hydration issues. Are you hydrated enough. I know if I am
dehydrated when they do a ECG, mine does weird things too.

Hi Ari,,,,  I hope you get some good answers to your question.   Have you
had any gum problems with your teeth?  I lost a good friend of mine with
elevated cardiac enzymes and it took about two years to do its dirty work on
his heart.  That may not have anything to do with your problem.
