Thanks Chief. I am here just trying to hold my own.
Last week was hard and I am still trying to catch
up on sleep. Still don't have the MRI results but
frankly I know better what is inside that knee and
lol it is not much. So I wait.
I have been trying to clean my sewing room so I feel
like actually being inside it. It takes up time I
would use for other things.
Tell ASA hello for me. I should be back next week or
this week I guess it already is...

Thanks Chief for letting us know about Duckie.

Duckie is always in my thoughts. I have been wondering how she was doing.

Thanks, chief.  I wish she were feeling better but I do hope she can get back
here soon.  I've missed her through all her long absences since the move.

I miss all of you too. Worried over you and all that rain I saw over
Raleigh last week.
One of the things I am doing is getting to sleep sooner and I think it
is a direct relationship to what my accupuncturist is doing. She works
on that every time and I get at least 7 hours if not more a night now
instead of the 4-6 I used to get. It does mean that I have less time for
things like the internet but I am enjoying the sleep.
I am also tired too despite the sleep but I think it is due to the pain
from the knee. I was waking with the stupid thing throbbing several
times a night but that has gotten better as it has gotten stronger.
And there is all that house looking I have been doing. That is getting
almost as old as having a house on the market that is not selling. I
just want to be in our own place to do to it what I can't do here. Like
hanging overhead cupboards in my sewing room. Or pulling out the crap
planted in the right flower bed. Or replacing the awful windows here.
I did find a great contractor I like last week just by accident and that
is truely a find. I told him about a couple of houses we had looked at
and he actually knew what the disclosures had said about them both. He
also knew about a problem in the house we had placed a bid on but lost.
I am having him look at a place before we place a bid the next time.
Actually, I bet he will have already have seen it. I told him to call me
if he sees a place he thinks we will like. I looked at the one he is
flipping which he is using top quality materials and workmanship. It was
just beyond wallboard but before tile, floor, fixtures, cabinets... so I
could see his quality that is often hidden by that stuff. I liked what I
saw.
Anyway, it is keeping me busy. I just still feel like I am not settled
here. But I do love it and the area we are looking in.

Boy do I know that feeling!  We basically lived unsettled for 4 years and I
don't miss it at all.

That contractor sounds like a real find though - serendipity at work.  It
should really pay off when you find a good house for you.

Flipping - man, I keep seeing the shows about that on TV and thinking it's
the kind of thing I could enjoy - if I could keep enough energy going to
finish out the houses.  No danger of risking our limited funds on trying it
though.  It only works if one actually lives in an area where homes are
*selling*!  That isn't northeastern lower Michigan.  Truly not the place to
risk one's livelihood on real estate.

Boy Duckie can I ever relate to what you are saying.  I am going up to see
the building inspector on the house we have put an offer in subject to
selling our house by next Friday.  I just keep looking at what needs to be
done here that i can't do.  I sure hope they remove the subjects next week.
It is incredible energy at the best of times looking and selling houses.

My sympathy on th knee.  Hope you gets some answers and results soon.
