sorry! it's an article on cindy adams (an actress/dancer) and a book
she wrote. she says:

"I'd been stricken with rheumatoid arthritis. So ill that all I really
needed to do was survive. They said I'd never walk again let alone
dance. Only now can I talk about it, and that's why I wrote this. . .
I found a New Jersey doctor who had a vitamin theory. He prescribed a
cleansing diet - oats, brown rice, chicken, fish, all green veggies, no
tomatoes or citrus because my system's acid had to neutralize to regain
its alkali balance - plus suitable exercise like stretching, yoga,
nothing strenuous. He said in three weeks the pain will subside, six
weeks I'll be able to walk, one year I'll actually dance again. And
that happened. My book tells it all in detail. . . See, I had much
bitterness stored inside me. . .
This doctor recognized my body had become crippled because it was
saying, 'Pay attention to me.' I needed to resolve all my earlier
conflicts. The pain inside me was repressed anger and grief. He said I
cannot take one more step unless I healed all this."

You may now barf.

Diet and exercise are THE treatment for everything, doncha know? <choking
back vomit> Hey, Tom Cruise sez vitamins and exercise treats depression,
too, but went and apologized to Brooke Shields anyway.

Do you trust that apology? Or is it merely an attempt to regain his
fanbase? LOL (as if I need to ask)

Were you around when that woman was on that used nothing but vitamins and
diet was here?  She wrote a 4 page typed schedule of what she did.  It was
amazing that she had enough hours in the day to take all those pills - they
had to be spaced at different times.  I found the pages again the other day
and finally threw them out.  She appeared I think after that to say she had
joint damage and was on dmards.

At the time I felt like barfing too - very much what you were describing.
Like the rest of us are doing everything wrong - like **** man says - we are
on ****load.

Thanks for the article.  I will resolve my repressed anger and grief.

I'm not reading anymore about this right now - I'm only 2 days out of the
most recent edition of the stomach crud and I don't want anything activating
it again!!!!  My ribcage hasn't recovered from the last round of throwing up
- can't do it agin, just yet.  LOL

it makes me sad.  if she really does have RA, she's in for a rough ride down
the road, because of this.

reminds me of my best bud, of forty years, who had aggressive breast cancer.
after her breast surgery, in an effort to stave off chemo and radiation
therapy, she went to a vitamin quack, in nevada, who swore he was going to
"cure it".  a couple of months after the i.v. vitamin treatments, when her
breast cancer returned, all he could say was "uhohhh, that's not good.  you
need to see your surgeon."  valuable lost time . . .
