Hi there...Diane C. sent me :) My name is Brenda, and I am a moderator
and a member of a Remicade group-I am 38, and I have rheumatoid
arthritis, fibromyalgia, epilepsy, mixed connective tissue disorder
because I am mostly positive for lupus (go figure) and a host of other
related and unrelated ailments. I am 2 1/2 years sitting at home
waiting on a disability decision-in a previous life I was office
manager for a dental implant surgeon's office, owned a custom wall
finish business and went to school for architecture while being a
single parent with RA, till my body said no more. I came to peek, and I
saw the joke about George Bush being dead and going to hell...sorry, it
was just what I needed this morning....I am trying to make flight
arrangements to go to my 20 year class reunion in Houston next month
and I have to fly into George Bush International airport-he is NOT my
favorite person-I am not catholic, but I am looking to take rosary
lessons from a friend....maybe I should take the train....this does not
bode well!! But we all know we can use all the support and laughter
anywhere we can find it-happy to have found you all! This is my first
Google group, so forgive me if I do something backwards! Happy Monday,
folks!       Brenda

Hi Brenda! Welcome to ASA. I think you'll do just fine here. :)

We have a huge range of political and religious philosophies in this group.
Generally we manage to respect each other's beliefs and opinions. Sometimes
we get very passionate about those opinions. The safest thing to do is mark
your political or religious posts as Off Topic, then Political, or Religion,
as the case may be. Then those who may be offended can skip them if they
choose.

I'm a recovering Catholic, fairly liberal humanist.lol  Please have a seat
in the clubhouse, I'm sure many more will be along to greet you soon.

Gee, I didn't know you were one of those, Kelly. I worked for the church
for 17 years and now I won't go near one. I've seen too much being on
the inside. I could write a book. Now I just chant with Krisha Das and I
feel so much better :)

Welcome Brenda. Love your screen name. I have a laundry list of diseases,
too, as do most of us here. Pull up a chair, have a drink, and join us as
often as you like.

Welcome Brenda.  We're a pretty nice bunch, if I do say so myself!  Only
occasionally do we get upset enough with
somebody to say something we shouldn't, but families do that you know.
Sorry you need to be here, but maybe you will get the support and help you
need from somebody along the way.  Just be careful with your chocolate, some
will try to take it all; I just need part of it!

Welcome from another newbie, Brenda,

Seems you've got all the requirements for being here...  a
good attitude.
The folks here have been really nice to each other for
years, that's one
of the reasons I showed up here.

Glad you liked the Dubya in Hell joke.  Watch for the OTPs,
especially
the Chief's.  We ALL need a good laugh today!

I've got OA, DDD, DJD, Fibro, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome,
Osteoporosis,
and I fergit what else.  Oh, well, I'll get a reminder soon
enough!
Oh, yeah,...  crap memory called "fog".

Make yourself at home and stay with us.  :-)

Thanks, everybody! Sounds like a great place! Yep, I have tons of
medical problems, but there is more to me than that-don't we all just
scream that inside?? But I really do appreciate the warm welcome-new
doctor for me tomorrow, so I am busy collecting records and it's
wearing me out, but I am really interestd to dive in-so much here to
see and respond to, and so many hilarious and super-tough survivors not
unlike myself-hehehe....anyway, thanks for helping me feel right at
home, and I'll pedal a little harder soon and catch up......best
wishes!         lilvegasmama
