Hi again. I live in Canada and was wondering if anyone has had success
with purchasing pain medication online?

I have a Dr. who is very reluctant to prescribe me anything stronger
than Tramadol(synthetic opiate)..They don't do very much for me at all
and in fact give me a whomping head-ache as a side-effect.

I have spinal stenosis and two herniated discs...along with Hep C
related cirrohsis, which I caught as a result of bad blood. I"m a
Hemophiliac and most of us have Hep C and or Aids.
I'm fortunate that I only got the Hep C.

Anyway, any information would be greatley appreciated. I'm on a
disibility pension without medical coverage so money is an issue.

Thanks for your time.

Paul.

Paul,
I don't know if I would take a chance with this - I would be more inclined
to find a different doctor who will treat you.  The problem is you need to
be monitored with your meds and also your doctor should know what you are
on.  Also my husband (we are in Canada) decided to get a med online without
a doctor, they took information and when the med came in the brown envelope
it was from China - you have to wonder what it was (by the way this is not a
question of a Canadian online pharmacy - it was an American site.)  needless
to say he mentioned it to his doctor who advised him to not take it but gave
him a prescription.

You don't say what province you are in that you don't get medical coverage.
Are you meaning you don't get pharmaceutical coverage.  If you are on
disability pension and we know which province we might be able to get you a
link to funding somewhere in your province.  If not I would scream loud and
long to your mp and mla.

It could also be you don't need tramadol but another pain med that is not
necessarily stronger but different.

Good luck,
Kelly

Kelly: Thanks for your response. I'm in Ontario. By coverage I mean no
prescription help. We have what OHIP for all our doctor\hospital needs
but no help with meds.

thanks again

Paul,
Does this program apply to you?  If not you might also have a talk to the
Arthritis Society to see if they can help you access programs.  I know they
are working hard and need advocates for a federal prescription plan.  They
might be able to help you further with some other areas.  I am in BC so we
are different - we have pharmacare which is not perfect but better than most
provinces.

Good luck

Kelly

I also live in Ontario, If you have low income check into the Trillium Plan.
You can probably get an application from your drug store.
Sincerely

Have you applied to Trillium with help with meds, Paul? We get partial coverage
through them.

We did apply ages ago, but still no word. They sent back the
application at first because we missed something but nothing since.
Probably time to inquire.
I imagine we would have a tri-yearly deductable to pay right?

Thanks.

Are you talking about Trillium, Paul? There is a deductable every three months,
then after that we pay only $2.00 per prescription for drugs that are covered.
