I had my first Humira shot 2 weeks ago. Supposed to take my next one
tomorrow but am going to skip it until I can see my doc on Wednesday. He is
out of the office today but his nurse is going to call him and let him know
what is happening in case this needs immediate attention.
I noticed this morning that I have this weird rash-sort-of-thing going on
with my legs. No raised bumps and not itchy at all, but tons of tiny,
almost pinprick size, bright red spots (like blood spots) starting at my
ankles and going up above my knees. I had something similar happen years
ago when I was sunburned at the ocean. I was out yesterday picking some
nectarines but it was only for a few minutes and I wasn't in the direct sun.
Has anyone had this experience with Humira?

I've had identical "weird rash-sort-of-thing" on my arms last
September
and November following Remicade, and in April while taking Embrel.
The drug reference I read in my PCP's office this morning stated those
are somewhat expected side effects.
You can visit http://rxlist.com and/or http://www.fda.gov and enter
Humira in a search. The FDA site had 154 hits; just a few at rxlist.
You'll be able to read the package insert, which you may not have
received because of re-packaging at the pharmacy.

Thank you. I did read the package insert but it didn't say anything about
skin problems. I've since discovered something online called "pupura" that
closely resembles what is going on. Can't wait to see my doc on Wednesday.
Thanks Fire Chief!

Whoops. that should have been http://www.rxlist.com
Sorry if anyone tried the bad URL and couldn't connect.
For the oldtimers in ASA, Nurses' PDR no longer lists drugs on-line
(but they'll sell their book). The best bet I've located is rxlist
and fda.gov.
...I made a mental note but forgot where I put it.
