OH NO!! I just did a bad thing yesterday. I saw a REALLY low round trip fare
from here to Baltimore and all I thought about was Arlene. I bought the
non-refundable ticket, made arrangements to stay with a friend, rental car -
the works. Then this morning I looked - really looked - at the
dates.....August 17, 18, and 19. Now I'm sitting here all sad because my
usual efficiency went on vacation and I can't go to the gimp picnic.
KJ and Kimmy - I am SOOOOOOOOOOOO sorry I did this. All I thought about was
getting down there to give my friend a hug and cheer her on to recovery. I
never even looked at a calendar. Please say you'll forgive me.

I sentence you to a HUGE (suffocating?) hug for loving your friend so much.
I guess the most recently most critically ill one just does come first.
Can't answer for what the party instigators will do though..............

I second the motion for the hug. I'm glad you get to see Arlene, she'll
continue to be on my prayer list DeeTee. We'll miss you and Bob tho.
You have to promise to make it next year :)

Bob said he'll probably go anyway and can be my gimp stand-in. He uses a
cane now over uneven ground or if he has to stand for long periods of time.
KJ said he would be welcomed. :-D

I can alert the fire department. I believe the address is still
146 South High Street, 44308
"Has anyone alerted the vice squad?" is the big question.
... Somewhere is Canada, a village is missing its idiot.
Kimmy - 14 Jul 2006 17:06 GMT
Ack!!!! Vice Squad!?! Don't even suggest it Chief!! There's no way we
can scrape up enough bail money for everybody.

Oh, hey - cool beans! Mike was just asking me again if anything was going on
this summer. I can even make it that weekend. Hillman's big V-J Day
celebrations are the preceeding weekend - hopefully I will have recovered by
Akron. Off to check out the info.
