Shoes still not ready

Yesterday I made another foray to the big city with the intention of
picking up my custom made shoes. Nope. They still are not suitable. My
toes on my right foot fall right off the side. These are sandals and
my toes are badly deviated to the side. Basically I think he needs to
redo the whole shoe. The new ones fit worse on that side than my
present ones do. Of course the main reason that I wwas getting custom
made shoes is because I now have a large lump underneath my right
foot.

Because it was such a nice day yesterday and also because my course
work has prevented me from getting much exercise, I decided to walk as
much as possible. On the way back from the shoe makers, the shoe of my
toe caught in an uneven place adn down I went. A woman and her
daughter picked me uo, took me into a store and found aplace for me to
sit. I sat for about a minute, but then knew i had to get going, or I
would stiffen right up. Basically that was my philosophy for
yesterday, keep moving, and with the help of T3 I was able to do what
I had to do. After sitting on the bus to return home, it was a
differnect story though. I jelled right up, and even today, I am in
tons of pain. Nothing broke though, so the fosamax has done its job.

I hope that today can be a really low key day. I have not had any rest
at all in weeks it seems.

thnak goodness for the fosomax.  Let me know when you are back in Vancouver
in case I can get over Rose.  My sister in law wants me to drive to
Summerland when my scooter lift gets installed so will see - maybe in the
fall.  Will call if I do and stop in if I can.

Take care - please!

Thanks Kelly.
The shoe man from Luxia shoes will call me when they are ready for the
next and hopefully last fitting.
I think I almost burst into tears yesterday when I tried the shoes on
and the fit was so bad on the right side. My fear is, that it won' t
be much better when I go back because he will not want to do it over.
After the investment that I put into it, costplus 4 trips to Vanc it
will be sooo frustrating.
I do have an appointment with a foot surgeon at some point, but who
knows when.
Of course I did go shopping and walked past a ew shoes stores and that
made me feel even sadder.
You know how it goes. That downward spiral can happen fast.
And today is a reallly down day for a whole bunch of reasons.

I will snap out of it.
Especially once I get to Baltimore.

PS It did not help one bit that the sales assistant at The Bay asked
me if I was a senior. When I asker her how old one had to be in their
store to be a senior she answered "60".
Like that is almost ten more years. Duh!
Of course by then maybe I was hobbling quite a bit....
but still

60

sheesh!

You have enough intelligence for two seniors, Rose, maybe three. I use the
senior bit whenever I think of it. I was so distressed when I found out last
year I could have been using senior for three years at the bank, no service
charge and $5.00 off my safety box rental! Some places it is 55, some 60 and
some 65. Most confusing.

ouchie!! hugs to you.
I tore my left knee a couple of Fridays ago and things seem to be worse
than better. And sitting with the knee bent means it won't straighten or
sitting with it straight and elevated means it doesn't want to bend.
Stupid bodies.

Duckie, I'm so sorry.  How did you do that?  Were you like me and doing
something you should not have done, or was it purely accidental?  For you
and me, I hope it never happens again--your knee, my hip.

Rose,

I sure hope you soon get this straightened out with the shoes and your feet.

That was nice of the woman and her daughter to help you out.

I hope your pain gets better. I am glad the fosamax is doing its job. I am
glad you didn't break anything.

I  hope you do get some rest. You have been too busy. Take care of you too
Rose.
