You're right. I enjoyed that.

Well, let's see... Wasn't around in the 40s and 50s, but all that is
familiar to me (small town California in the 60s and early 70s). Hee,
thanks my hubby (who was born in 53) remembered more than I did.

Harv, that brought back a lot of good memories! Love the music & dance.

You're right; I enjoyed this one, Harv. Okay, I'm from that generation, but
there were 2 names I didn't recognize: who is Nellie Belle and Buttermilk?
My enquiring mind has to know ;-) Nanny

Sorry, do not know the answer. I did not take too much serious back then
and surely not collage.

Buttermilk was Dale Evans' horse (whilst Trigger was Roy Rogers' which
I am sure you knew).
Smokie Darling (Annie) - have to ask DH about Nellie Belle

Mary and I saw Trigger and Buttermilk - stuffed - at the old Roy
Rogers
and Dale Evans Museum off I-15 in Victorville on the last day of our
honeymoon in April 2002....just before it closed and moved out of
state.
The museum was difficult to locate and poorly attended. No mention
northbound on the interstate and only one sign southbound before the
exit. Then nothing for directions once you reached the top of the off-
ramp. I blame the City of Victorville and CalTrans for its loss from
the
state.
Mary and I knew it was in the northwest quadrant of the freeway
interchange and hunted blindly in the area before locating it.
