My friend (the one with Legionnaires Disease) was improving. We were so
excited when they moved her from the hospital to a rehab center. Now she's
developed blood clots in her lungs, has been moved to the ICU of Washington
Medical Center and her prognosis is very grave. They do not expect her to
ever come home and have sent for all her children to come to her bedside.
Her husband is distraught and I am saddened. I know where she's heading on
the other side, but I will miss her and I don't know how her husband of
nearly 50 years will continue on. Please remember Arlene in your prayers.

Prayers for Arlene.

Seems to be the time, I guess. My friend who was battling an extremely
agressive form of breast cancer passed the night before last. As you pray
for Arlene, please also offer prayers for Gail's family - her husband Mark
and her kids Patrick, Bridgette, Greg, and Ceara. I haven't included their
last name on purpose because the family has been very privacy conscious this
whole time.

Prayers for Arlene & Gail & their families.

I have someone who desperately needs the ASA prayer machine, too.
Wayne is a Latin  teacher here in Tennessee, and he has been fighting
cancer for a very long time.  We thought he was in remission, but the
cancer has returned with a vengeance.

The doctors told him that his liver function had deteriorated
considerably from last week.  The chemo they had hoped to try cannot be
given full dosage without killing him.  They have given him a half
dose, but do not expect it to work.  It is the last option.  if it does
not work, there is no more they can do for him.  Apparently the doctor
told him if this doesn't work, he probably has months.

Please add Wayne & his family & students to your prayers.

Our prayer machine is on overtime right now.
May Arlene have the grace of a happy death if she is not meant to
recover and may her husband receive the gift of peace.
.
Gail is at rest and not in pain any longer. May her husband and children
reach the point of acceptance.
.
May Wayne receive the best medical care available and may a miracle have
his name on it.

Dee Tee,

Prayers coming for Arlene and all involved with her.
We will pray that it is a peaceful passing.

Adelle,

Prayers coming for Gail's family and all those who are in sorrow for her
passing.

Shannon,
Prayers for Wayne and all those involved with him.

Remember all the ASA prayer machine does do wonders and miracles have
happened to those prayed for. So keep that in mind too. Maybe it is not the
answer we wanted but hopefully in these cases it will be.

It's a good thing God is not like us humans and can only deal with one thing
at a time.  Thankfully He can look after all these people at the same time,
Arlene & her family, Gail's family, and Wayne and his family.  May He heal
where it is within His will, and give peace to all concerned.

It is so hard to lose a friend - give your husband a great hug and know that
prayers are going out for Arlene.

prayers and hugs on their way.  I feel so sorry for her family,
especially after all the excitement about the improvement.  Somehow,
it seems harder after that.
