I suffer from lower back pain (left-hand side only). The doctor
injected only 20 units from L1-L5 but my pain is just below that -- the

lumbosacral area and closer to the spine. After 9 days, no improvement.

I was really irritated because I pointed to exactly where I feel the
constant muscle tightness and he went higher and further from the
spine. Judging from where he shot, I'm not surprised that they haven't
worked. I'm very depressed because this is the last thing I could try.

Is there a reason why he didn't shoot the lumbosacral area close to the

bottom of the spine??

They shoot what they see on Xray.   You must convince the doctor to shoot
what he does not see.

I tried but he pointed to a textbook and then -- bam -- the shots were
over so fast and my skin was numb. When I saw the injection marks, I
knew he was away from the pain. He never looked at x-rays but used an
probe to find the belly of the muscles he wanted.
