I'd resign if I could....get myself fired if it were possible.:-( The
Humira syringes are still sitting at the pharmacy; I can't have them yet.
They'd prolly do a good job on the ear inflammation I have ( the infection
is now cleared up and it's merely inflamed).
But now I hafta see a hemotologist b'cuz I've developed leukopenia. And
with not enuff white cells I can't even have my MTX. Nothing. My T and B
cells are running rampant with their destructive ways and not even MTX to
stand in the way now. The Neurontin can't handle even half the pain.
I'd better keep laffing so as not to drown in a puddle of crying. My PCP
reminded me that this is a lifelong thing that has to be battled......
.....being an Arthritis Warrior is majorly sucky. :-(

Rosie, how awful. Do you see the hematologist soon, I hope! You really
need to be able to get back on your meds. Will be praying for that to
happen.

Yup it sucks - no way around it. Can thy give you anything else to ease the
pain while they get the wbc up? Will be thinking of you. Wish I could
share some wisdom to get you through this. a gentle hug. Been there and
are there and it ain't fun.
Don't resign yet. Diane and I will tell you that you will get through
this - it will just be hard. hang on to the string no matter how shredded
it gets. We are on the other end.

(((((((((((((Rosie))))))))))))))))) your PCP doesn't even know the half of
it.
leukopenic, damn. that just ain't fair - not on our meds. Hang in there.
This evening we were at a program we've been doing at one of our churches.
Long story, but one of the questions was "what is your answer to
discouragement and despair?" Mike said something about wondering that in his
20s, but having lived too much to wonder that now. I replied (forcefully!)
that you can still be dragged down so much you don't know how you'll get
through tomorrow. Everyone here knows just what I mean. You know far too
well right now.
Ask for more and better pain medicine and rest as much as you can. Sending
prayers and vibes to straighten out whatever's going on with your bod.
(for amusement, you can picture me in a pile of dirt cleaning out the
remaining weeds to start another flower garden - sitting on my butt in the
dirt because my legs hurt too much to rake or hoe the area, gotta sit and do
it by hand. Gives new meaning to the sandbox idea! LOL)

I'm going to die rather sooner than I'd like. I tried to protect my
neighbours from crime, and became the victim of it. Complications in
hospital following this resulted in a serious illness. I now need a bone
marrow transplant. Many people around the world are waiting for a marrow
transplant, too. Please volunteer to be a marrow donor:

and when I post a reply that seems like I'm missing the point of the
original post, please be assured that I have not. Mentally adding ;just
curious' to my posts make it a bit better.

Ooooh, ick. I'm sorry to hear about this. I'd been hoping that you
were doing so much better.
Having not been an Arthritis Warrior (merely a supporter), I can't
imagine what it's like. Well, except I can sympathize with not being
able to do anything you want (if it isn't lying down, sitting watching
the same silly DVD 'cause you can't open another one - good thing I
like CSI:NY - <sigh>).
I wish I were closer, at least we could both sit together and share our
misery, and I *could* make you some hot tea (iced tea?) to help you
relax.
