hello, i have been looking for a place for discussion about this bad arthritis pain i have had for the last two years.i have been looking for a place like this,for people that can understand,this pain,so i hope you will allow me to to post here. i have this arthritis in my back that is just so painful,and it helps if some one know what yu are going through. my name is bettina Betina, welcome to ASA, the place no one really wants to be, but a place where your pain is understood and we will offer support, information, and a shoulder to cry on if you need it. You will find someone on here will have gone through the same thing you're going through, and will be glad to discuss it with you. I see both. What, if anything, have you done for this pain situation you are in? Other than the general term "arthritis" do you know specifically where and what is causing you pain? there are many good people here who can help and understand, but a little more specific information would be helpful. Dealing with chronic pain is very difficult, but there are remedies that can help. I have ankylosing spondylitis, which is a form of inflammatory, systemic arthritis, that, by definition affects the back. I can relate to what you are going through. I would be glad to try to help you, if as Gary said, you could post more regarding what type of arthritis it is and what type of meds you are on. DeeTee > hello, > i have been looking for a place for discussion about this bad arthritis [quoted text clipped - 3 lines] > so painful,and it helps if some one know what yu are going through. > my name is bettina thank all of you for your response,the name really is bettina,when i did my name i did not put it in right,so instead of going through the changes i left it as is. i have gone to my primary doctor,she did test and said i had,degenative arthritis,she treated me with celebrex,that did not work,she put me on hydrocardone for pain then i went to the pain clinic two times,the last being this pass december,i had steroid injections,and they did the one where they go in and try to kill the nerves,that helped for awhile about two months,so now i am on long acting pain pill i take two times a day,with the hydrocardone as needed.i just started this treatment,but it is so stressful when no one seems to have any idea about your pain,even my children,it's oh just take a pill mom.i get tired of that,that is why i needed to come here so i can talk to people that understand if i am having a bad day.i am a retired LPN worked in the hospital for 40 years,been retired 9 years now.i am 74.i still baby siy my grandchildren.and i am very happy to be here, bettina |
