Dear Folks,

We just got back from our vacation.  It was a time of lots of
commitments and very busy.  Isn't vacation a time of no commitments?<g>

We took our daughter now 16 with two years of high school left to two
art schools.  She was thrilled to be accepted at the school of her
choice.  This is the first time that her work has been evaluated out of
her home area.  We heard that her work is exciting, interesting, and
quite good.!

We left our eldest son in Idaho!  That's 1900 miles away!  He has
completed one year of college and took a job with the department of
agriculture for the summer.  He has been going through the throes of
getting an apartment for the first time, learning a whole new world,
etc.  It's exciting and scary to watch and listen to him. Yesterday, he
was talking to me and pulled out his breakfast from the fridge only to
find that his eggs had frozen.  Good thing he was talking to Mom.

Our puppy now 3 1/2 was taken to the vet today with dermititus.  Her
ear flap and rear is fiery red and painful.  The vet gave her a
cortisone shot, antibiotics, and creme.  The poor thing.

And I guess that I should mention my other son.  I'm pleased as punch
with him.  He graduated high school just before vacation!  He also
received the top award in AWANAS involving ten years of work!

And yes!  I hurt all over!  My back and neck acted up over vacation!

Just a catch up,

Pardon a proud mother,  (G)

It is a time where we check how tired we can get and still function.

This is a good time in lots of ways.  It is like the time we found out that
our oldest daughter was really good in a stage play after she had been in
two or three and been to a summer camp at a collage.  :-)  That was an
education for everyone.

What are MOMs for???  Tell him to call you about such things,,, its always
good to have open doors.

A southern boy would say,,,, hhhm, a case of the red a.s.  A week or two
late on going to the vet...

The wife and I raised four,,,, two boys and two girls...
I can honestly say that the girls gave me the biggest heart aches.   It is a
hard lesson to learn that you have done the best you could and they have
their own life to live.

Vickie, you have good reason to be proud of your children.  They are our
pride and joy!

Hope you soon get over your vacation and stop hurting so bad.

Honey - been there, done that, didn't get a tee shirt. Don't feel you have
to apologize. Most of us (females anyway) are proud mammas and know exactly
what you're going through.  Come here to brag anytime. We'll listen and
enjoy.

Hugs, DeeTee
