I think I might have gone slighly mad ! I have booked a round the world
trip ! I am on two sticks, so how on earth will I do it? One might say
it is a challenge, maybe the last one !
January 07 my wife and I intend to fly from the UK to Auckland NZ (We
lived for a while in NZ), hire a camper and tour for about 3 weeks. We
are then booked on the Oriana for the return trip to the UKl which
takes 2 months. OMG ! Got to try though.
I guess I'll have to explore the disability facilities. Travelling with
enbrel on long haul ?
As usual all advice greatfully received. Try not to be destructive
please!

WOW! What an exciting thing to do. You only live once Peter, so if you
have hte resources and desire to do it, then DO IT. I am envious.
I loved my trip to NZ. Aukland is such a pretty city, and was one of
my favorites. The others were Christchurch and the all too touristy
Rotarua. I recommend mineral baths if you can get in. LOL
IF you make it to the west coast of Canada, ring me up. LOL I would
love to meet you.
I wonder how you can get enough enbrel for the duration of your trip.
Here they won't dispense too much at a time.

Hi folks
Thanks for all the encouragement. As usual I shall rely on my wife Jean
a lot. We haven't had a holiday for 5 years and she certainly deserves
one.
She would like to do the trans Canada railway trip, so maybe we will
reach the West Coast. A parasitological friend of mine took a post with
the marine biological outfit on Vancouver Island many years ago. I
don't know if he is still there, but we had great fun driving thro Rome
one night with 8 people in a v small car.
Re enbrel. Plan A is to get the enbrel shipped out via a cool container
operated by a UK carrier for medical supplies to NZ. I will pick it up
there. We should have a fridge in the camper van and there is one in
the cabin of the ship. Shipping it out in two lots, one after the other
should cover the situation.

sounds like you've done a lot of good planning already! I wish I could give
you some advice, but we haven't done much traveling since my arthritis kicked
up again (not because of my illness but rather due to my DH's new career
path). I would love to visit NZ so I hope you are able to have a wonderful
time.
