Hello to ya'all,

When I read your posts, I get so much good information.

I injected, for myself, my first enbrel on Weds.  Today, I am not feeling my
usual active self - this I don't understand, but then, I have occassional
flares -perhaps today is one of my flares.  No injection site reaction.

Just read a post about Diclofenac - very interesting. - I do have trouble
just getting to sleep and sleep as much as I can through the night., but I
don't feel rested when I get up in the a.m.

I'm using Mobic, currently and it has been helpful - today has me curious if
I'm having  a side affect from the enbrel making me so very tired.  I'm
alternating between being cold and hot, unbelievable contrasts today.

Interested in your thoughts on my possible flare.

Thanks,

Happy Mother's Day to all the Mom's out there!
I hope your children treat you special.

Hey Hiker,

I don't know about the fatigue. For me, that was the first symptom on
which the Enbrel worked.
That being said, I also have fibro, so I still wasn't sleeping properly
due to that. Fibro sufferers rarely reach stage 4 (restorative sleep).
Consequently even when they do get to sleep, they rarely feel refreshed
upon waking.
I don't remember, Hiker, if you have fibro as well, or not.
I know that I had a few weird things (side effects?) when I first
started on Enbrel, a mild headache which last for a while, and a couple
of skin issues.
Flares will still occur even when on Enbrel, which sucks.
This probably didn't help, but here it is anyway,

Hi there hiker4life,

I am more tired on Enbrel than on just Prednisolon.
But Enbrel works better to keep inflammation under control.
However, I have to get off it every7-8 weeks and survive on (higher
dose) Pred for aprox 3 weeks because of the side effects of Enbrel.
It hasn't stopped me from taking the shots because the Enbrel works best
for me compared to other meds.
I used to be Arthrotec (3x75 mg per day) which I have been able to
reduce to ZERO!
Still on 5 mg pred/ enbrel and fosamax.

I am waiting for the approval of dna-jp1, but it looks like that isn't
going to happen any sooner than before 2008.

Good luck!

Nikki
