I am sorry to have disappeared again. Darn flare again.. This time it is the
worst I have ever had. RD says this is as bad as he has ever seen in me. He
is trying to get me into a study to get this new med that was approved by
the FDA. I think it called Rituxin? I failed Remicade and Enbrel. My last
post had several good points and help.. I still shake my head at what was
said to me..lol.. I found a new counselor through the church so maybe that
will be better. I am glad to know I am not the only one who is totally
frustrated with the RA stuff. :o)
Take care,
Rhonda M

Glad to hear you found a new therapist! Taking care of stuff like that is so
hard when you feel lousy, but you surely don't need someone continuing to
tell you it's all the result of stress. Got my fingers crossed for a working
DMARD for you. now, I'm off to eat some of that chocolate without getting it
all over the keyboard - that would be such a waste! LOL

I am so out of the loop. Is Rituxin now approved for RA? I had it a year
ago on the sly. It is approved for cancer treatment. It took a couple of
months but did kick my disease into the background again. It seems to
still be holding as my RD tested my T cell count and it is still low. I
also still get Remicade and also take Arava and Prednisone. I am a
walking pharmacy. lol
Go for it and don't be discouraged if it takes a bit to work. The lady I
was taking it with had nearly instant results so you just never know.
