I have a De Puy (Alvine) ankle. Had it for several years- works great,
no pain. Kate

Sounds great. Maybe I should look for an orthopedic surgeon who uses that
brand. I am 4' 9" and 90 lbs. Very small bones... the shoulder replacement
and knee replacements were the smallest devices these doctors ever used.
How tall are you? Do you feel you have small bones or other? If you had this
for several years, that's good enough for me. Thanks! Marge

If you decide to wait, please consider options to help you move around
during daily life to minimise pain. Scooters for shopping centres, power
wheelchairs for around the house. You can still choose to walk short
distances, but with these and other such options, you can also choose
not to, depending on how you feel at any given time.

I'm going to die rather sooner than I'd like. I tried to protect my
neighbours from crime, and became the victim of it. Complications in
hospital following this resulted in a serious illness. I now need a bone
marrow transplant. Many people around the world are waiting for a marrow
transplant, too. Please volunteer to be a marrow donor:

Thanks Ari! I ordered a transporter so my parents will have an easier time
helping me to appointments. I looked at a roll-about, which seemed great,
except very poor steering, so I am going to get my Dad to help me build a
better prototype which will allow me to get around without crutches.
Important because I have a tear in the rotator cuff and other shoulder has
to be replaced. Crutches are out of the question.
