I just upped my MTX to 20mg 2 weeks ago and seem to have gotten a cold this past week or sinus stuff, didn't get it while on enbrel, anyway doc is gone, do you take the MTX if you have a common cold and sore throat or should you skip it? I hate to miss if I am not taking the enbrel but really feel like I am coming down with a bad case of something, just wondering, want to be able to fly in 2 weeks, thanks again Becky Becky, I have taken 20mg every week for ten years now (before that 30mg)- rain hail or sun shine. I do suffer from sinus but never thought about a connection with MTX. Methx and Arava are not drugs that start and stop well. I was on them for lots of years and they never restarted and did as well. There are times when they should be stopped like before surgery. It takes teamwork between you PCP and RD to deal with sinus problems as many here will tell you. It is something that a person sometimes puts off until it becomes a real problem with sinus drainings and such.
