I am scheduled to fly out to California in 9 days, off the enbrel now for 2
weeks and boy can I tell no energy at all, I see the neurologist this
Wednesday so hopefully she will say the lesion in brain is no big deal and
tell me I can go back on enbrel, we will see. I have down with bad allergies
and possible sinus stuff, went to doc but she said didn't look like
infection. Take allergy meds and nasal spray. Has anyone ever flown with
sinus problems and if so what are some good tips for not getting worse ont
eh way down. Last time I flew I ended up with bad headache and vertigo.
Thanks
Becky

Becky,

Suggest you use a good decongestant before you fly. I once took a trip
with a mild cold and came home with an inverted eardrum - very painful.
That was the only time I had problems, though, and I was flying every
couple of weeks at the time.

Have a good trip,

Dave

Dave,
Thanks, that is what a stewardess friend of mine told me also, start some
Sudafed a day before or so before I fly and then take it just before takeoff
and landing also.

also, buy some saline nasal spray and use it several times on days that you
are flying and other times when your sinuses get too dried out.  One of the
things that bothers sinuses in flying is the incredibly dry air in plane
compartments.  The dryness irritates the sinus tissues (unless you live in a
desert so are used to it) and that can ultimately kick up the congestion.
Saline spray will help keep the sinuses moist so the congestion will drain.

And drink lots of water on board. It will help too.
