Jo, I just found this on the web site put up for Jason, and since you had
just asked about him, I am sending it on.

JASON IS BACK AT WORK!!! Praise the Lord. He is having the office (Deal's
Cabinetry) set up so that he can help his Dad with the office work. He has a
new computer with an architecture auto cad design program installed that
will allow him to "draw" cabinets using the keyboard and his mouthstick. (He
learned to use auto cad in high school at Brew Tech.) He has a huge scanner
that will scan house plans onto the computer so that he can do the detailed
cabinet drawings (his Dad has been doing these by hand). You should see his
set-up. It looks like a flight simulator! This opens a new chapter in his
recovery. He feels that he has a purpose again. Sitting at home for past 4
months had begun to get a little boring!
Physically, he is about the same. Continue to pray for complete recovery of
movement and feeling to his arms and legs. He is still in what they call
"spinal shock" and this can last for 2-3 years. He feels good most of the
time. He has a lot of shoulder and neck pain, but that is controllable with
pain meds. He has had a few urinary tract infections that have been hard to
completely clear up.
His spirits are still very positive. He goes to church every Sunday morning
and Wednesday night. His college/career friends from church have been such a
blessing. They have gone out of their way to make him feel a part of the
group again and to include him in all of their activities. The guys' bible
study group met at our house for the last few Sunday nights. This gave me
and Allen a chance to slip out for a meal or a movie -- a much-needed break.
We are adjusting here at home and finding that "new normal." We have been
strengthened by your prayers. Please don't stop praying. Pray that Jason's
transition back to work will be successful and productive. Pray that he will
stay well physically and mentally so that he is able to do all that he wants
to do and that his pain will be controllable. Pray that God will continue to
receive glory for the good things in Jason's life.
In Christ,

Really good to hear.
BTW, our next door neighbor works for that architecture auto cad
company. He is a support software engineer of some sort and does a lot
of traveling.
