Gimp Picnic: Anyone interested?

Oooooooooooookay! Here's the deal: Last year I canceled the Gimp Picnic
because of lack of participation. I'm gonna try again this year. It
looks like it would be the weekend of August 19th. We usually do a
hotel party on Friday, the picnic at my house on Saturday and breakfast
together on Sunday before everyone heads home.

You can come for one event or all three. Heck, come for a week. Believe
it or not, there are lots of things to do in Akron Ohio!

If it looks like we have enough interest Kimmy and I can head down to
the hotel next week and see what kind of group rate we can get. So post
here if you think you can make it.

I don't think I ever answered! I'd come, in fact Mike was just asking me
yesterday if there was going to be any Gimp gathering this year. At least I
think I'd come. I have to be here for the town's big V-J day celebration.
V-J Day falls on a Tuesday this year (8/15) so I'm assuming the celebration
will be the preceeding weekend and I'll be free on the 19th.

Tish asked me this morning if there's a Gimpfest this year. And I had no
idea. Cuz I've been "missing" from the group for far too long. So I came
to check, and saw this thread. Looks like the picnic is it, yeah? If so,
then we're there. T has FINALLY given in and self-identified as a gimp.
Yup, she's admitted she's one of us. Ha!

We will be there!

Hey, Aim! how are you and Trish doing? I don't believe we've had an update
here since you were engaged in a battle with another potential diagnosis.
Are things stabilizing with that?

It's really hard for me to commit to anything right now, but Akron
isn't *too* far from us! Well, I just checked mapquest and it says 5
hours... I swore it was closer than that. Anywho, I'll try and see if I
can make it.
