Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers. My dad is in the hospital
under hospice care. As most of your know this can be a very trying
time for the family.
Niki had a second shunt replacement last month after the one she got in
October mal-functioned. She is going for a 48 hour EEG tomorrow and
will be at home for the test. She is doing better but still having
some seziure activity.
Thanks for all of your support and care over the years.

Debbie
You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers. I know how
difficult times like this are. I lost my dad 20 years ago after a long
illness. Spend what time you can showing your love and good memories.
I hope that Niki's replacement shunt will function well and for a long
time. Hopefully they will eventually find some way to make her life
better. It is so hard to see your child have struggles.
Remember to take the time to care for yourself as you go through all
this. You are important too and you can't help your loved ones if you
don't take care of yourself.
Hugs and prayers to all.

Debbie, so sorry about your dad and also Niki's problem with the shunt.
Hope this last shunt will work properly and that the seizures will stop
completely. All of you will be on my prayer list.

You got it! Yes, its a difficult time. But an important one. Let the hospice
workers help your family. Saying goodbye is hard, for a while. Saying
goodbye with things left unsaid and love not shared is hard for a lifetime.

Wish everything for Niki would settle down. Being a teen is hard enough.
Sending hugs, good energy, and prayers for strength.

Debbie you are inspiration to many in this NG. For years you have
been the primary caregiver to your father and Nikki, if there was an
Angel on earth I think she would be created in your image. You are
an amazing women! Prayers headed your way. -- MZ
