I am worried about my mother. She is in so much pain from arthritis
that she talks about ending her life. The doctors around here refuse to
prescribe anything that'll actually alleviate her pain. They tell her
to take Ibuprofen. The Ibuprofen doesn't work. Isn't there anything
that can be done? Thank you.

There is a great deal that can be done by a Rheumatologist. You have to
find out what kind of arthritis and from the way your mother is acting it is
almost too late. Should of been done years ago,,, sooo tomorrow is not too
soon.

your poor mother! she needs a new doctor. most doctors these days treat
pain seriously. has she seen a rheumatologist? please get her in to see
one as soon as possible. there are so many new treatments, depending on
what kind of arthritis she has. does she have a computer? if so, please
have her come here and we will welcome her with open arms and a lot of
information. if not, let her know there is plenty of hope for her. it
can take a while to find the right treatment, but it's out there.
