for as geeky as I am working in broadcast electronics I was only a "getting
there" person.
Mostly 'cause I only use my cell phone to make phone calls and not a modern
game player.
How about you?

At 35 I'm just getting there.  There should be a rule, once a geek, always a
geek.

Living in the shadow of
GeeeeeeeeeeeeKsville______________56___________>g<

but, i did get an early start. had immersed myself by 1981.
i have been moving away from much of that world the last 5 years. Like
you Gary, i don't use any of the gaming stuff.
Reality is there are at least two generations of hardcore geeks younger
than I because living in the world today nearly demands the constant
use of new technologies and its just getting started.

ah, if you are only getting there, I'm not even taking it!  I have little
desire to use all this technology for more than the basics and still avoid
having a cell phone.    Heck, the sun is shining, spring's thaw is underway
and my seedlings are growing - I need to be gardening, not thinking about
technology!
