JackieSilverton - 27 Mar 2006 10:59 GMT I was wondering if anyone else had seen this. A friend bought the ARTHRITIS: An Integrated Approach DVD for me from Amazon recently. The DVD was excellent, and on it they have numerous links etc. (including to their own site www.visionhealth.co.uk). It is a very good resource, with live chat room (experts come fortnightly), live news feed (coming soon), links, articles and other great detail. It is well worth a visit.
I can't speak for the other dvds (Diabetes and Asthma), but the Arthritis one was excellent. It covers complementary, alternative and orthodox approaches to Arthritis. There are some 14 world experts, 50 chapters (more than 3 hours) on 2 dvd discs. It is hosted by the endearing Barefoot Doctor and features such luminaries as: Dr Mosaraf Ali (Physician to HRH Prince Charles), Dr Jean Monro (Founder of the Breakspear Hospital, Physician to The Sultan of Brunei), Dr George Lewith, Dr John Mansfield and many more...
If you've ever wondered about the truth behind all the hype which surrounds alternative, complementary, orthodox or cutting edge methods (like stem cell therapy, genetics and tissue engineering) then this is for you. It's got some fantastic patient stories and testimonials, and the sections on provocation neutralisation, environmental medicine and nutritional medicine really stand out.

Gloria - 27 Mar 2006 13:00 GMT Yes I bought a copy of Arthritis an integrated Approach on Amazon and also Asthma for my boyfriends dad, he has been suffering from both Arthritis and Asthma for over five years I took a look through them and thought that they were both excellent and full of usefull information for any sufferer. I am hoping it will encourage him to look at how to manage his life better in this complicated world of treatments, The DVD gives an clear overview of the treatments out there with some great sections by Dr Ali and Dr. Jean Munro. I have since I saw him on television an interest in The Barefoot Doctor and his approach, he great at explaining the philosophy behind wellness. www.barefootdoctorworld.com. I also particularly liked the sections on environmental health. It had me hooked and I do not have either Arthritis or Asthma. If Dr Ali is good enough for prince Charles its good enough for Paul.
The Vision Health DVD's are Good Information as told by seasoned medical experts working and researching in the field. I feel it will help him unravel the often complicated world of treatments as it talks common sense about the treatments that are out there.
The website www.visionhealth.co.uk is also a great resource for further information.

Mary Z - 27 Mar 2006 15:22 GMT >I was wondering if anyone else had seen this. It is terrible probably the worst DVD I have seen on the subject in years. I highly recommend against this DVD.
Interesting this person has 13 posts all touting these DVDs, and Gloria has responded only to your posts. I smell a spammer. Ping Pong.
Nann Bell - 27 Mar 2006 15:49 GMT This reminds me though to post about a TRULY good DVD that can be obtained by taking a legit survey. The film was funded in part by the National Psoriasis Foundation and is the creation of a film maker with Ps and PsA himself. The blurb from NPF's publication is to long to copy, so here's a link to it online http://psoriasis.org/publications/advance/200601_finkelstein.php
My copy finally arrived recently. It was as good as I expected so I will be following through on my plan to donate my copy to the local library. I can't say I learned a whole lot from it, but then the NPF and the internet have kept me very informed and up to date on stuff. It's a great film for educating folks about Ps and PsA - more about Ps, but that's where most of us with PA start......

JackieSilverton - 27 Mar 2006 20:02 GMT Woah! How ungrateful is that. The DVD is excellent. I'm raving on about it in so many related forums, because it is a GREAT resource. Nothing to do with spamming. Check my IP if you don't believe it. I'm not the pong to this ping.
It took time to post and it took time for people to email me with replies. I have now 8 replies in my inbox, so there are obviously many happy campers out there.
Sheesh! Try to put a good word out there and look what happens. Any DVD with 3.5 hours of material, on two discs, could never be a purely commercially driven product. It's obviously something made with passion... I sensed the passion and want to help them get that message out to as man people as possible.
Spammers are normally selling drugs, quick fixes or penis extensions. I'm trying to spread the word of a good resource, I was spurred on by receiving two emails in quick succession from other people who had benefited from the series. Don't judge it till you've bother to look and don't judge me for wanting to help people. There is such a thing as "genuine", even in cyberspace.

Paul T. Holland - 28 Mar 2006 02:09 GMT hi folks - just ducking in and saw this piece of work
i'm not really up for extended toying with one more scammer, so here's a quick and dirty look at two facts:
'gloria' uses <info@ormaqworldwide.com>
that is: Results: Registrant: James De Paor 47 Dean Street, Soho, London 47 Dean Street, Soho,London, W1D 5BE UK Domain name: ORMAQWORLDWIDE.COM Registration Service Provider: UK2.NET http://uk2.net/ For support and FAQs please go to http://help.uk2.net/
ORMAQ WORLDWIDE LIMITED Registered No. 05265937 - GB registration business number
ORMAQWORLDWIDE.COM - nothing there - just a place holder [FREE CUSTOMER HOLDING PAGE] site...
'jackie' touts a company [visixxxealth.co.uk] that has dvd's made/copied by a 'creation film, ltd':
Checking server [whois.opensrs.net] Results: Registrant: Creation 47 Dean St London, w1d 5be GB
Domain name: CREATIONFILM.COM aka www.creationfilms.co.uk / 85.90.254.72 / which just happens to be the same ip number set that 'gloria' posts off of...same street address, same ip number...gosh...
and james da paor, of ormaqworldwide, is also the head of creation films - makes one wonder if the boss knows what the workers are up to?????
gosh!!!
quite the coincidence --- 'jackie' posts about a dvd
and someone from the same address as the company making those same dvd's turns up to answer him/her/it...
gloria!!! you little scammer you!!!! where is it you know jackie from?
just curious - do you really think we're going to believe you? we'll believe you just about as much as we do 'jackie'...
but since the ebay account shows only 60 sales [of 'all' products...] over 12 months, it's no wonder you resort to spam...
what i really liked is that the visioxxxxxlth.co.uk site is hosted on Registrant's agent: Web-At-Work Ltd,
now, in and of itself, that's not funny, but if you look at the support address for web at work, you see that it reads:
http://www.cheapdomainsuk.com/cgi-bin/pdesk.cgi
cheap domain suk...
very apt...jackie - it does indeed suk....
and you can be sure that we are indeed ungrateful - towards all such that attempt so transparent of shills.
well folks, it's been fun, but i'm still not up for all this - took another fall last week trying to get up and around - cracked the noggin and that just adds to the list -
someday i'll learn to fall on something soft!
be well all

Paul T. Holland - 30 Mar 2006 00:55 GMT ok - we get it -
you don't care, that a person identified with the dvd's you touted, tried to pull a fast one.
faking a post in support of 'your' post...you don't care that they are a scamming spammer...
and, it's probably just a coincidence...two total strangers posting at the same time - one, 'gloria', proves to be a scammer
the other one, 'you',
well, there is no history of your 'nym' anywhere in usenet or on the web...you post as:
"JackieSilverton "........
now let's take a look at 'gloria's company once again:
Domain name: CREATIONFILM.COM Administrative Contact: Silver, Jack jack@studio45design.com 47 Dean St London, w1d 5be GB +44.2077349995
heck, you never know - could be just coincidence...
well, it could...uh-huh, yup...of course it could...

not really clumsy - hip and knees [mostly hip right now] just decided to give way. it 'pops' once in a while if i try to step and turn at the same time. this time the knees were acting up and didn't hold, and that started the 'twist' and the hip just went out.
what with getting the hip back in and all, i didn't feel the head much for the first ten minutes or so , but blood down the forehead tends to get your attention...!!!
by the time i had the hip in and could get up, i could 'really' feel it. they didn't use stitches - too wide [about 1 x 2 inches], butterfly(d) it instead
still hurts, but also 'itches' like crazy!

[quoted text clipped - 109 lines] > >> > >> jackie Gwen Love - 30 Mar 2006 03:51 GMT Paul, how in the world did you get your hip back in? I've been carried to ER three times in an ambulance for mine. Gwen
> hi gwen > [quoted text clipped - 145 lines] >> >> >> >> jackie Paul T. Holland - 30 Mar 2006 23:13 GMT yup - been there too! my right hip is partially gone from avn years ago. not enough to warrant replacement, but still can cause problems
at the same time, it makes it possible to get it back in for the rare time like last week when i'm by myself and it goes.
this time i was by a shelf unit when i went down,
given the option of having to crawl/drag myself to a phone more than 40 feet away - it was worth it to try.
feet were next to the shelf - just enough room to wedge the right foot under, and then i could angle my body/hips into approx. 90 degree.
throw up [ well, that's part of it...]
with the foot wedged, [don't think - just take a deep breath, and start letting it out] turn halfway over
and back in it goes
throw up again...
not really recommended, but it works. it's kind of like the 'allis' maneuver, just without an emt holding the leg.
i can't really describe what it feels like, but i know you understand it.
it's only the second time i've had to do it, and hope it's the last.
cats second that motion - the sounds i made had them hiding for a half hour.

omg, paul! you must have been in shock from putting your hip back in or else, you had a concussion. what a difficult and incredible thing to have to do for yourself. holy cow! what courage it must have taken. (((((((((paul)))))))) is it feeling any better now? i sure hope it is, after all that.

you know, i think i really wasn't totally 'right'
while not calling it a concussion, the whack to my head was enough to make me tunnel visioned. i wasn't actually thinking things thru.
by the same token, i can't call what i went thru courageous - it wasn't that deliberate and thought out...
bull headed maybe?
