Got the results from an extensive blood/x-ray testing. I do not have
Ankylosing Spondylitis, my bone density is still in the high normal range,
and the blood work showed what the Dr was hoping for. I do not have
diabetes--but will have to be very careful due to Viral Pancreatitus years
ago. Seems like the pancreas's never completely returns to full function if
it is 'every disturbed'..and it was by the ole flu bug when I was 21. The
broken foot bones are being caused by the Myloproliferative Disorder which I
can't take anything for as I can't have aspirin and Tylenol doesn't work on
this disorder.

Sorry you can't take anything for the foot bones.

Thank you. I take a calcium tablet every other day. Any more often causes
other problems.

Butterfly (Dr wants me to take more but my body says no. My body is noisier
than the Dr so I listen to it.)

It seems a shame that you can't sneak up on the full dose.  Have you
tried that?  I have a pill cutter and I cut one of my dog's pills up
so I can hide it in her food.

Glad to hear the other news.

I'm ok with what I'm doing as this is the 2nd bone density test in one year
and both have given the same results. If it means a yearly test then I'll do
it. If it shows any change then we will have to change something else. My
Family Dr knows what I'm doing and is ok with it as long as I keep him
informed of any and all changes. He is the best Family Dr we have ever had
and we have lived all over this country with my DH's work (now retired due
to RA)

I had to google Myeloproliferative Disorder, that was a new one for me.  What
a complicated group of disorders!  The symptoms do not sound at all fun!

Still, I'm glad you don't have to deal with AS on top of the other.  I hope
they can figure out some ways of helping you.  It's such a hassle when things
overlap and don't let you take what you need med-wise.

Took a bunch of specialists over 2 years to come up with this besides the
alphabitius that I have. I finally have a 'name' for what is going on and am
now down to 5 Specialists,  Pain Management Dr, and Family Dr. Fortunately,
I only have to see 3 of them a couple of times a year now. My other ones
keep these up to date. Saves a lil in the pocketbook to spend on all the
medications. They finally seem to have found a livable solution with
medications as I am now able to "do" so many things I couldn't just 2 years
ago. Have found that 10 to 20 minute increments is about all I can handle. I
do have to 'rest a lot' and plan my days as to how I'm feeling.
