Medicare supplemental insurance question

I've been receiving Medicare disability insurance for 14 years.  14
years ago there was only one insurance company that offered Medicare
supplemental insurance to people on disability in my state,
Pennsylvania Blue Cross.  When I turn 65 I will be eligible to apply
with other companies that seem to have better rates.  In particular I
am considering a policy with State Farm insurance or the AARP Medicare
supplement insurance plan. They all seem to offer the same coverage and
these are all reputable companies, so why not go with the company with
the best rates?  I want to be sure there isn't a potential problem I am
overlooking.  Right now, whichever company I select will be giving me
their best rates.  If I change my mind later and want to switch
companies, the rates will be higher.
Does anyone have any advice for me?  Is anyone currently covered by
State Farm insurance or AARP?
Thank you for your comments.

You could ask all of your doctors' offices if they have any advice.

I don't know how well each program works (my father has Federal Employees Blue
Cross), but I'd say that unless you are dissatisfied with Pennsylvania Blue
Cross or one of the others a lot cheaper it would probably make sense to stay
where you are.

Ellen, my Medicare supplement is with AARP, always has been.  And they have
never given me anything except wonderful service.  Never have had a problem
and have had them for 15 years.

I can second what Gwen said. My Mom had AARP's medicare supplement, and
when she was in the hospital, the only thing we had to pay for was the
telephone and television in her room. When Mom passed away I was getting
bills from doctors I had never even heard of. I called AARP and the lady
there was so nice. She told me to just send the bills to them and they
would take care of everything and they did. I couldn't have asked for
more wonderful people.
