Was reading articles from Firechief that he sent to me.
The one was about the gigantic icicle at Multnomah Falls in Portland Oregon.
At the end of the post he said that him and Mary visited that site during
the gimp fest visit.
He was wondering how everyone from Oregon and Washington are this winter.
So if anyone would like to respond, I will send the responses to him when I
snail mail him again.

Thanks all, I have a package ready for him so put all these posts in there.
Will get it mailed off to him soon.
I have felt sorry for all of you up there. I have been watching the weather
channel and seen how it has been hitting you all.

Hi Squirrely, I'm about 8 miles inland from Newport, OR (central coast).
We have had a fairly wet winter here. Last year I was out playing golf,
not this year. Temperatures have been moderate, I actually had to turn
the heater on about half a dozen times already. Highs around 50º-ish
and lows near 35º most evenings.
Waiting for dry weather to get out again.
Cheers Lee O.

Lee, I turn my heater on every day almost, and I'm in Alabama!

Indeed we are Mary. About 50 miles. Toledo here, for the past 1.5 years,
California before that. Originally from Connecticut. Really love Oregon.
That quake on Saturday barely rattled the window over my shoulder as I
was having breakfast at 8:39.

We had a cold snap and there was news coverage about the ice at
Multnomah falls. It has been fairly wet especially in January, but
March has not been too bad. I am looking for a great boating season
this spring, I will likely do the Owyhee in April so I am a very happy
boater! We had a small earthquake on Saturday. -- MZ
