Just a howdy and need for prayers

Glad to see all you folks--have been spinning too many plates, but now my
flarey plates are spinning--sigh--it is so hard to find a balance between
this disease and life--we had a freeze and spell of cold weather (this means
it got down to 32 for a couple of hours one night!!) and my body doesn't
like that--so I have been lurking and not talking--but--my cousin Jessie has
been missing in Alaska for over a week--extensive search hampered by white
out snows--I am marshalling all my praying friends....she did have cold
weather gear and knows the area well as she is a musher and has traveled the
area extensively.....so there is still hope--but after so long a time--they
have her lead dog out searching..... new story link

anyway--out of lurk mode to ask for your thoughts and prayers--now back to
bed as I hurt....sigh....

Alix, I'm so sorry; I know all her family is worried. Wil pray that she is
safe and will return unharmed. Maybe she is in another cabin along the way.

Oh, my - she lives in Huslia! One of my high school band buddies is now the
school principal in Huslia. He probably knows her.

Prayers for Jessie and for guidance for the searchers.

I heard back from John - he was camping about 30 miles outside of town when
the same storm hit and a drift totally engulfed his tent. He and his dog
were able to dig out, but there was no sign of his trail. Thank goodness for
GPS, it got him back. He said it was horrendous.

He also says the men in the village have been steadily searching in a 50 mile
radius. While it sounds grim, he says they are still optimistic because of
Jessie's knowledge of the brush.

Please let us know when you hear anything.

I know this must really be doing a number on all your nerves.

I am hoping for the best outcome.

I am also sending good vibes to you for the flaring and hrting. Hopefully
when spring gets here finally all of us will be doing better.
