I am 67, having had RA for 15 years. I am not a diabetic.

Has anyone ever had, or heard of this? I referred to it as a black toe,
but the doctor speaks of it as a blue toe. This began Jan. 22, and do
have excruciating pain at times. Taking Naprosyn and Tylanol.

They seem to think that a tiny piece of plaque has gone down to the
smallest view which is at the end of the toe next to my small one on the
right foot.

They have checked my pulse and pressure from my thighs to my toes in
both legs, which are all clear.

No one has said how or when it will clear up. On an antibiotic for the
next two weeks.

Is this anything like you had, Rosie?  Maybe not.  Nanny

Yes, Nanny, it is almost identical. 'Cept that I had gangrene due to a
blood clot. They originally told me it was perhaps plaque...but they say
that to everyone with cholesterol over 200. Quitting cigs has reduced my
risk for getting gangrene greatly.

I have connective tissue disease and Reynaud's Syndrome, too. I
recommend that the OP have her clotting factor tested and have an ANA titer.
Every garden variety Rheumy can do these and interpret them. :-)

Hugs from Rosie

Friend, I'm glad things have improved for you and you were able to quit
cigs.  Nanny

Sorry Rosie, I thought she meant me because of the ugly foot think I
have had off and on for a few years.
