The company that makes the Roomba vacume cleaner, now has come out with
a new product called Scuba that looks like the Roomba only it scrubs and
dries your floors that are tile, linoleum, etc.
Has anyone tried out the Scuba yet?
Just curious as to how it does!

There's a review on Scooba at
http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,1895,1901372,00.asp
I was really intrigued by Scooba until I found out it costs $400 and
uses pricey special cleanser. Plus, while my Roomba is cute, he
(yes, after a while you start to think of Roomba as a pet and
give him/her a name) doesn't do that great a job, occasionally
falls down stairs (sensor not working?), shuts himself in the
bathroom, and gets stuck under the bed. I'm not sure his
brother Scooba would do any better.

Hubby bought me one and I just tried it. Sorry to say, the product
needs work. It clearly got up a fair amount of dirt (judging by the
water in the dirty water tank) but it didn't clean to my satisfaction--
and I'm not picky. I ended up scrubbing sections of the floor after
it was done. I think if you start out with relatively clean floors (i.e.,
no ground in dirt or scuff marks) and use it often, you might be
happy with it, but you'll probably have to do some hand scrubbing.
Also, it didn't clean my entire kitchen floor on one battery charge.
And it's a pricy little gadget!
