Hi, gang.

I promised I would report back from my attorney's visit today on whether
children are financially responsible for parents in SC. They are not.
(Whew!)

Overall it was very positive. The attorney thinks we are in good shape. The
only suggestion he made was one in their wills that would put money from the
non-qualified spouse into a trust to keep an already Medicaid-qualified
survivor from suddenly losing his/her eligibility. Was something I had never
even thought of. There's always something, isn't there?

Songbird, a good elder law attorney is worth his weight in gold, that is for
sure.   I think that was the single best piece of advice I received here,
and there were many pieces of good advice given over the years.
