I have decided that I will probably do her wash myself, and also only bring
a minimum of clothing with us to the NH.   I also found an online source and
ordered a hundred labels by express mail.   I am not going to stress out too
much about the clothing disappearing, but I can tell you that I think I
would prefer to keep a couple of her better outfits here just in case we
want to take her out, or if someone is coming to visit her and she needs to
look nice.

Excellent decision to do Ida's laundry...and I cannot
agree with Tumbleweed that it doesn't matter if clothes
are mixed up. We prefer that Rosie wears her own
clothing and the other residents wear theirs. This is one
more reason why we take care of the laundry.

Labels are certainly a good idea but we use a felt tip
laundry marker. I guess I just don't think labels work
that well in socks, shoes, bras, etc. Forgive me for
repeating myself...but *every piece* needs to be
marked.

I think you'll find that Ida will be best dressed in simple
house dresses...nice clothing is OK for the mentally
sound residents but for AD patients I think you'll find
that simple and plain is much better.
