expensive.BUT the whole point im makeing here,is even with the doxy, when she

Because there are a lot of different things that cause pneumonia. Some are
viral some are bacterial and they are all different. I had a pneumonia
shot and still got it another time.
Remember the old adage "a LITTLE knowledge is a dangerous thing" meaning
that there is a lot more than meets the eye in many issues. Get a lot of
knowledge, not a little.

Sorry to jump to conclusions.
Suprax (cefixime) is a third-generation cephalosporin. The
cephalosporins are specific to a limited number of bacteria (i.e.,
they are not broad spectrum). Being the last line of defence against
certain bugs, it's use in non-infectious disease states should be
limited. As with some other antibiotics (e.g., clioquinol), the
mechanism in AD may be one of metal chelation. That is, these drugs
may binds metals associated with the beta-amyloid plaque; however, if
you read my recent post, you'll notice that after 12 months of
continuous antibiotic therapy, there is no differentiation between
control and treatment groups. Read: it is too early to recommended
antibiotics in the treatment of AD.
Moreover, the use of antibiotics in a population where compliance
cannot be guaranteed may render our last line of defence against
certain bacteria useless.
Here's a fun task. Next time you're at a friends house, ask how many
unfinished prescription bottles of antibiotics they have. Then ask
them how they dispose of them (often down the toilet). Finally, ask
them if they know what the consequences of their actions are; how will
they affect their children and grandchildren.
Bottom line: chronic use of antibiotics is unfortunately setting us
up for the next plague.
On that happy note, I bid you adieu,
Darryl.

Consider if you can Daryyl this. The reason the antibiotics stop
working is that they have had a whole "host lifetime" to live off. You
think one type of antibiotics by itself, without switching to another,
will work? No way Jose. It takes more, the fact remains alzheimers is
an infection, period. Are we worried about old people becoming
resistant to anitbiotics? I'm not.

because it's not good to keep on taking them when the infection
that they were prescribed for is over. ANTIBIOTICS DO ***NOT***
DO ANYTHING TO CURE ALZHEIMERS.
please take your quack medicine discussions to alt.quack.medicine
and OUT OF THIS NEWSGROUP which is for caregivers.
