This is a great article. The story sounds very much like what my friend Sam
went through. Finally though, in 1997 he was diagnosed with Metachromatic
Leukodystrophy (MLD), a very rare brain degenerative disorder, which I'm
involved in fundraising for MLD research. I'm in touch with lots of people
who have loved ones with unnamed leukodystrophies, and other unknown disorders
of this kind -- I'm going to forward this link to them. It might be worth
them checking in to.
