Hi:
Songbird, Evelyn
Hey ya'll, I had to be up at five am this morning. I was a volunteer
tasked to pull net control duty for the March of Dimes.
Today went real well, weather was great! No heat problems. The worst
we had was a handful of mis-placed kids (rapidly solved) and requests
for bandaids for blisters.
Why here, and know you ask? Because, for a caregiver, when you have
focused your heart so much on your loved ones. Because then it seems
there is no world outside that narrow view.
For Songbird, for Evelyn, even when your heart or mine hurts, there is a
world. You can be part of it again, should be part of it.
For so many folks here, in this group, when you have watched loved ones
decay, turned into some twisted caricture of someone who you have loved,
and still love.
For them, for what they were, for that bright memory, for giving back to
the world around you.
To become involved again in life and love.
Hope folks are hearing me and understand.
For their memory and your sake, to go on with life and love.
Anyway, like I said, today went well, the weather was great. We helped
rasie mney for March of Dimes.

That is great, Paul.
There is something so healing about doing good for others in the world. I
have been a member of the Rotary Club for about 13 years now, and it has
done me as much good as I have done for them!
